Take a trip around the Levant with our Middle Eastern-inspired menu at The Café by Foodhall all month long.

This March, savour the nuttiness of tahini, the zing of torshi and the freshness of parsley all held together with a drizzle of olive oil. Our continent-spanning special menu at The Café by Foodhall  is a tribute to the vibrant and versatile flavours of the Middle East.

Start the day with Israel’s favourite Shakshuka – a breakfast dish of eggs poached in a sauce of charred tomatoes and red peppers topped with feta and parsley. A Shawarma with your choice of paneer or chicken, doused in a piquant yoghurt sauce and served with torshi (pickled vegetables) is the perfect mid-morning pick-me-up.

Come lunchtime, our mouth-watering tagine bowls of hearty sweet potato or lamb stew ladled over tangy lime & mint couscous with harissa, tzatziki and rocca salad on the side are sure to hit the spot. But if you prefer a light lunch, the Za’atar-roasted Cauliflower Salad – a fresh medley of roasted cauliflower and broccoli, couscous, chickpeas, dates, pomegranate arils and parsley will set you right.

Give pizza night a pass in favour of our Halloumi & Tomato Manakeesh – fragrant laffa flatbreads topped with grilled halloumi, cherry tomatoes and fresh herbs. Meat-lovers can top theirs with lahm bi ajin, an aromatic mix of  minced lamb, garlic, parsley, tomato and paprika.
