Blueberry Chia Jam Recipe

Delicious jam that can be made and store for upto two weeks
Cook Time: 20 minutes

Difficulty: Easy
Serves: 4 to 5 people


3 cups fresh blueberries
3 tsp lemon zest
¼ cup fresh lemon juice
4 tbsp maple syrup
¼ cup chia seeds

All ingredients are available at Foodhall stores


  1. In a saucepan, add the blueberries, lemon juice and maple syrup. Bring it up to a gentle syrup over medium heat. Stir occasionally until the berries breakdown. It should take about 5 minutes.
  2. Mash the berries with the back of your spoon and bring it to a boil. The juices should reduce by half in about 5 to 10 minutes more.
  3. Take it off the heat, taste and add maple syrup (if needed). Return this to the heat and stir in the chia until the seed have softened.
  4. Take it off the heat again and let the jam cool down slightly. Transfer this to heat-proof jars and store in the refrigerator.
