Strawberry Chocolate Tart With Whipped Chevre (Gluten-free) Recipe

Relish this sweet and savoury tart nestled in with strawberries, whipped goat cheese and a chocolate-almond crust.

Almond flour; 1 cup

Salt; 1/2 tsp.

Cocoa powder; 1 tbsp.

Maple syrup; 3 tbsp.

Coconut oil; 1/4 cup

Goat cheese; 300g

Greek yoghurt; 2 tbsp.

Fresh strawberries; 2 cups; quartered lengthwise


1. To make the crust, whisk together the almond flour, cocoa and salt. Add in 2 tablespoons of maple syrup and coconut oil and knead into a crumbly dough.

2. Divide the dough in half and press the dough into small tart or pie molds. Use a fork and pierce the dough all over. Stick in the fridge for 30 minutes.

3. Preheat oven to 180 degree C and bake pie crust for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and let it cool.

4. In a blender combine goat cheese, yoghurt, and maple syrup. Spoon a dollop of this prepared goat cheese mousse into the baked tarts crusts. Top with fresh strawberries.
